So...I have something I need to get off my chest.
As some of you may or may not have realized/noticed, my real name is Allyson. Not Ali/Alison. I know it's not a big deal, but I'm tired of going by Ali rofl.
Back in about 2005ish, I guess, I joined a chatgroup on Neopets (I was going by "Neo" at the time because it was a short version of my username) called RSS. I was 12 years old, and my parents are really weird and paranoid about stalkers. So when I joined the group, I was told that I had to go by another name because there was already someone in RSS called "Neo". I asked my parents if I could use my real name (because I was retarded back then and actually asked permission for stuff online), they said no and told me to pick an alias. So I chose Ali - it's close enough to my real name so that I didn't feel too awkward, but it's also pretty different from Allyson.
So for about 4 years now, I've gone by Ali online to people I don't know. Well, quite frankly, I'm tired of it. Through the years, on most websites I've joined, I've had one account for RL friends (where I go by Allyson), and I have one account for online/non-RL friends (where I go by Ali). I'm tired of having all these duplicate accounts, so I'm just finally telling everyone my real name.
Again, this probably seems like a really small and unimportant thing, but I just needed to tell everyone because it's been egging at me for a long time.
If you really want to, you can still call me Ali or any nickname variation of that. I would prefer Allyson, but Ali and variations of that are ok.
